Introducing the Center for Governance Measurement and Performance Evaluation of Government Organizations:
The main mission of the Center for Governance Measurement and Performance Evaluation of Government Organizations is to measure and evaluate the performance of government and private institutions and relevant officials, in order to continuously improve them as representatives of the governance system, along with providing them with feedback and performance recommendations.
About the Center:
The goal of the Center for Governance Measurement is to design and implement evaluation systems for government and private organizations by developing, implementing, and disseminating rigorous methods and facilitating the use of data-based evidence to inform and support planning for future performance.
The Center consists of a network of researchers, academic-executive elites, and faculty members in interdisciplinary disciplines and fields and beyond, in other words, governance measurement experts.
Methodology development is one of the tasks the Center does, with topics on impact quantification, process evaluation, and the synthesis of evaluation studies conducted by experts in this field.
The Center undertakes a variety of activities including workshops, seminars, meetings, symposiums, networking and training events. These scientific events bring together experienced experts, government officials and industry leaders to speak and brainstorm, maximizing their participation and collaboration in the development of evaluation methods, interventions, systems and strategies.

Center programs:
General and specific indicators of organizations based on upstream documents and the nature and mission statement of that organization (based on the request of the relevant organization, in the form of research projects and memorandums of understanding with companies and organizations)
Determining key performance standards for scoring and ranking government organizations
(based on the request of the relevant organization, by categorizing organizations in terms of their nature, goals and philosophy of existence)
Holding training courses on how to evaluate the performance of the organization, understanding each indicator, how to measure indicators and how to score
Bilateral cooperation ranges from participation in seminars to education and research.
Also, sending employees to those countries (such as Lebanon, Qatar, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Uzbekistan) and establishing international knowledge-based governance measurement companies registered in the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran
Evaluating the performance of government organizations in the form of defining the topic of student theses
In line with the third strategic plan of the University of Tehran, guiding university research towards idea generation and commercialization
Holding a ceremony for the best organizational performance evaluation software in accordance with the established governance measurement standards
- In line with promoting the development of idea-generating and entrepreneurial human capital
- Also encouraging and creating constructive competition between startup companies and measurement software designers
Advising on review and corrective action in the event of undesirable and poor performance results (after performance evaluation)
In line with reforming the management system and diversifying the university's income sources

The performance of organizations, in addition to productivity, democracy, public satisfaction and trust, optimal allocation of resources and internal processes, learning and growth, and other factors that can be considered in performance evaluation.
