Dr. Ahmad Radmehr is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Governance, University of Tehran, and a graduate of the Department of Water Sciences and Engineering, Water Resources, from the University of Tehran. He is an honors graduate of the PhD program at the University of Tehran and the first place in the master's degree entrance exam in the country, with more than 15 years of practical experience in the field of management and engineering of water resources systems and the environment. He received his bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in water resources from the University of Tehran. Among his concerns in the field of water resources is the attention to conducting applied research related to the country's water resources and issues. In this regard, his doctoral thesis was defined, considering the necessity and weakness of conducting applied research in the field of water governance at the local scale, as providing a conceptual and analytical framework for sustainable development strategies for agricultural water management, and he defended it with honors. The topic of his master's thesis was also on the development of spatial decision support systems for urban flood management, which was completed as a research project for the Iranian Water Resources Management Company and he defended it with honors. He has published numerous articles in prestigious national and international journals (with Q1 rating and credibility) including NATURE, ASCE, and SPRINGER. His areas of study and research include participatory water governance, optimization and simulation of water resources and environmental systems, conflict resolution and social choice methods, decision support systems, sustainable development, and environmental policymaking. Dr. Radmehr has practical and executive experience in the country's water industry, such that he has managed and directed water resources management projects on a national scale, as well as a history of international activity with development banks, including the World Bank.
