Dr. Majid Gholami holds a PhD in Political Geography and Geopolitics with a focus on Southwest Asia from the University of Tehran. The topic of his doctoral thesis was to present the strategic model of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He holds two bachelor's degrees in political science and law and a master's degree in international relations. His areas of study include the national power and national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran, national and global governance, political organization of space, spatial distribution of power, security in the West Asian region, and regional and global regimes. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Territorial Governance and Security at the Faculty of Governance at the University of Tehran.
