Dr. Reza Payandeh holds a Ph.D. in Technology Management with a focus on Innovation from the University of Tehran. His doctoral dissertation, titled "Future Scenarios of Iranian Banks in the Face of FinTech," examined the experiences of 17 Iranian banks and was defended with highest honors, earning the World Future Day Award. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Innovation and Technology Governance Department at the Faculty of Governance, University of Tehran. Dr. Payandeh teaches courses on "Innovation Theories and Models," "Intellectual Property Systems," "Entrepreneurship," and "New Product Development" at the master's and doctoral levels. His research interests include "Social Entrepreneurship," "Artificial Intelligence," "Data Ethics," "Technology Law," "Program Evaluation," and "Program Theory," with numerous publications in these areas. The "Idea Generation Canvas," an innovative framework derived from his master's thesis in Public Policy, has been extensively utilized in over a hundred innovation and entrepreneurship events, as well as numerous accelerators. Dr. Payandeh has also led several pioneering research projects within Iran's innovation ecosystem. His forthcoming research handbook, "Financial Technology: An Introduction to Digital Technologies, Business Models, and Governance," is poised to be a significant contribution to the academic literature and practice in the field.
