Dr. Seyyed Reza Nakhli

Dr. Seyyed Reza Nakhli holds a Ph.D. in economics with a focus on public sector economics and monetary economics from Isfahan University. His main research and teaching areas include public sector economics, public finance, smart tax systems, Tax Technologies, data-based economic governance, customs systems, risk management, economic sanctions, macroeconomics, Iranian economy, and Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) modeling. He has authored more than 13 scientific articles, 3 books, 1 international project, 4 national projects, and has contributed to the drafting of over 50 organizational and national strategic reports. His doctoral thesis was titled "Stimulating the Effects of Economic Sanctions on Macroeconomic Variables Using the DSGE Method", which resulted in the publication of 4 distinguished Latin articles (domestic, SCOPUS Q2, JCR Q1, and JCR Q2). In terms of academic reviewing, he has reviewed several domestic and international journals including the Resources Policy Journal (JCR Q1- IF=10.33) from ELSEVIER International Publications, the Journal of Economic Researches  (Tarbiat Modares University), and the Journal of Economic Defense and Sustainable Development (National Defense University). In terms of academic-executive roles, he has served as an advisor to the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, a member of the Secretariat of Transformational Projects of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, an economic advisor to the head of the International Legal Affairs Center of the Presidential Office, a member of the Research and Technology Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, the secretary of the Planning and Budget Group of the Research and Information Center of the Parliamentary Presidency, the secretary of Financial Resources and Resistance Economy Group of the Food Security Planning Office of the Ministry of Defense, the head of the Iran Economic Modeling Office at Imam Sadiq University, the head of the Agricultural Economics Table of the National Defense University, the head of the Tax System Reform Committee of the National Project for Drafting Proposed Plans for the Seventh Development Plan of the National Defense University, and a researcher in the Planning and Budget Group of the Research Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly. He currently serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Economic Governance at the Faculty of Governance, University of Tehran.
