Dr. Alireza Mahanian

Dr. Alireza Mahanian holds a PhD in Information Technology Management, Business Intelligence (BI) from Tarbiat Modares University, and received his MBA and B.A. in Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. He selected his PhD thesis topic based on the country’s research priorities (Ministry of Petroleum), which was titled “Making Azadegan Oilfield, Intelligent” and defended it with an excellent ranking. The article resulting from the research is known as the most widely read article in the influential journal “Oil Research”. Given the interdisciplinary nature of his education and experience, he was also invited to conduct two major national research projects. He has authored and translated several books and written and presented dozens of articles in journals, conferences, and seminars in the fields of management, information technology, and governance. In addition to his research achievements, Dr. Mahanian has a long history of consulting to industry, including the oil, gas, petrochemical, banking and insurance, and information technology and telecom industries, in the areas of strategic planning, digital transformation, business intelligence, and governance.
