Dr. Majid Gholami is a Ph.D. graduate in Political Geography and Geopolitics with a focus on Southwest Asia from the University of Tehran. His doctoral thesis proposed a strategic model for the Islamic Republic of Iran's stance towards the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He holds bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Law, and a master's degree in International Relations. His research fields include the national power and national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran, national and global governance, political organization of space, spatial distribution of power, security in the West Asia region, and regional and global regimes. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Land and Security at the Faculty of Governance, University of Tehran.
