Dr. Masoud Banafi is a graduate in Public Administration with a specialization in Decision Making and Public Policy from the University of Tehran. He conducted his Ph.D. dissertation titled "Understanding the Mechanisms of International Indicators in Guiding and Controlling Governance Regimes: Towards Designing a Framework for Conscious Encounter in the Islamic Republic of Iran" at the University of Tehran and as a sabbatical leave at the University of Surrey, UK. His activities include doing scientific-research articles, books, conducting numerous research projects, teaching undergraduate, master's, and doctoral courses, mentoring and judging master's theses, contributing to the establishment of the Iranian Public Administration Association and the Iranian Public Administration Studies Quarterly, collaborating with the Research Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, several ministries of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and reviewing articles for various journals. His research interests cover "Governance," "Public Administration," "Public Policy," "Governance Indicators Studies," "Assessment Centers", "Islamic Studies in Governance & Public Administration", and "Intellectual Property." He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public and Administrative Governance at the Faculty of Governance, University of Tehran.
