Dr. Sayedeh Alemohammad is a graduate of both the Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs in “Environmental Science” from the Faculty of Environment, University of Tehran. She successfully completed her schooling at the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (NODET) school. Throughout all her academic levels, she has consistently achieved the “First Rank” in graduation. She also gained admission to both the Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs with the “Second Rank” in the national entrance examinations. Her doctoral dissertation was on “Developing a Social-Ecological Zoning Framework for Protected Areas,” and her Master’s thesis was on “Strategic Environmental Assessment and Sustainable Development Policy-making,” both of which she defended with the grade of “Excellent.” Her researching and teaching interests include the foundations of Land-use Planning (Ecological Capability Evaluation), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of development projects, Ecosystem Services Assessment, Spatial Analysis based on Landscape Ecology, Land Degradation Assessment, Environmental Pollution, Protected Area Management, Local Participation, and Environmental Resilience. She has published many reputable articles in these fields. Additionally, she has completed nine research projects in three domains: 

The first domain focuses on “Ecosystem Services Valuation in Urban Environments and Urban Green Infrastructure” (including green corridors, urban vegetation cover, and air quality of Tehran, as well as the connectivity of the green space network in the Tehran metropolitan area), the second domain focuses on “Pollution Monitoring and Safety in the Urban Environment” (including fire-risk buildings, and the assessment of water, soil, air, and noise pollution), and the third domain focuses on “Data Systems, Information Databases, and Specialized Protocols” (including environmental systems, a database of polluting occupations in Tehran, and EIA protocols for industrial estates and tourism complexes).

Among the other valuable achievements of this Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Governance, University of Tehran, can be mentioned the “Establishment of the Faculty of Governance Library”, serving as “Head of the Library and Knowledge Management”, “membership in the University of Tehran Library Coordination Council”, and collaboration with the committees and working groups of this council.
